'Radiance' abelia

Abelia 'Radiance' from PlantHaven is a new sport of Abelia 'Kaleidoscope'. This white variegated Abelia stands out above any other because of its vigor and ability to maintain color and density throughout the year. New foliage is medium green with creamy yellow margins, aging to silvery-green with cream white margins. The vivid crimson stem colors provide a dramatic contrast to the variegated foliage. The tight, compact habit reaches 3 feet by 5 feet at maturity and holds a beautiful form throughout the season. Fragrant white tubular flowers appear from mid-summer through fall.

Paver edging spikes

With its patent-pending, angled-tip design, the Edgetite™ paver edging spike helps keep paver installations stronger. As an Edgetite™ spike is hammered into the compacted base, the angled tip deflects away from the installation while the head pushes the edge restraint tightly against the brick. The angled final position of an installed Edgetite™ spike resists frost heave while adding strength and longevity to your brick project.

'Southern Cross' ironweed

Intrinsic Perennial Gardens Inc. is excited to announce Vernonia ×'Southern Cross'. This stunning new ironweed adds some heavy metal to the prairie. The rich, deep green foliage in spring and summer are followed by purple flowers starting in August. The clumping plants reach around 36 inches tall and wide. After flowering the seed heads hold on into winter, giving this plant presence in the garden. Plants prefer average, well-drained soil in full sun and are hardy in zones 4 to 9. This new Vernonia is a hybrid of two U.S. native plants, including Vernonia lettermanii. It combines especially well with Amsonia 'Halfway to Arkansas' and 'Midway to Montana', which both have a similar texture to their foliage.

Compact excavator

Bobcat's new E63 compact excavator offers more power, performance and operator conveniences with a blade float, multifunction joysticks, color instrumentation panel and an auto-shift drive system. It replaces the company's E60, becoming the second-largest machine in the company's series. A new blade float feature gives operators the versatility to smoothly grade, level or backfill material. This means operators can use just one machine to excavate and fill material, and the excavator's rubber track undercarriage minimizes disruption to existing surfaces with its ability to float across dirt. The E63's blade height is 16.1 inches - a 21 percent increase compared to the previous E60 model.
