PANTS shows impressive growth

8/15/2013

Good news from the folks at PANTS:

The reports are in and the consensus is that this year's PANTS13 show hit a series of high notes with strong attendance, productive business opportunities and a welcome step up to a new top-tier location in center city Philadelphia.

According to many of our exhibitors, we made good on our promise to "bring the buzz back" to this long-running industry event. The shift to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in the heart of Philadelphia was no small factor, unquestionably raising the profile of PANTS.

Attendance was up by 30 percent over last year and reflected a wider reach than in the past.  From throughout the Northeast, attendance increased significantly with PA, NJ & NY leading the way.  In addition, we saw far stronger representation than in recent memory from attendees from New England and Mid-Atlantic States, reflecting the growing importance of PANTS, as the green industry's key summer show in the East.

Here's what some of the PANTS13 fellow exhibitors had to say:
"We started with customers at 9:45 a.m. and finally got to take our first break around 2 p.m.  It was great! We didn't anticipate having quite that much traffic but this turned out to be a really, really good show.  Being in Philadelphia for the first time was a big draw, and many people I talked to are planning to come again next year."
- Joe Infante of the Infante Nursery and Sod Farm, Millstone, NJ

"We've been doing well at MANTS (Mid Atlantic Nursery Trade Show in Baltimore) but we needed more exposure and were attracted to PANTS because of its move to Philly. We came away with half a dozen new orders and 25 leads for future business, and since many of my customers were there as exhibitors, the opportunities were very strong.  The new and improved PANTS got us to come aboard and we were pleased with the results - we'll be back."
- Larry Olson, National Sales Director of Better Bilt in Chicago, Manufacturer of Steel Wire Nursery Products

"We loved it! Loved the location, loved the proximity to the Reading Terminal Market, loved the chance to see a major league baseball game.  It was wonderful to be out with our customers, sitting there talking and enjoying ourselves. The show had been declining, but I see this re-launch as turning it around, making a good start on returning PANTS to its glory days."
