It’s January, and that means trade shows. You’re eager to get out on the road, I know, so I’ll be brief. Sort of.

A friend asked me recently if I’d consider a facelift. Okay, let’s get the obvious out of the way: Yes, she’s still my friend. Considering that we’re both eligible for senior discounts, though, it’s a legitimate question. My answer? If I had unlimited funds and had no idea where to spend my extra money… maybe.

So what’s the next best thing? Launching American Nurseryman’s new website. This month you’ll see a brand new look when you log in at, and I’m sure you’ll like what you see.

We’ve updated so many of the functions that you’ll find it much easier to use—which is really what you want from a website. Great information, of course, but the ability to find it quickly and easily is what we’re all looking for.

Enhanced search functions will guide you to current articles as well as archived features. You can also search by category—for example, “plants.” Who doesn’t want to read about plants? Or “water management.” Critical to every part of the industry. Within the categories, you’ll find articles to answer your questions.

And speaking of questions, we’ve made it easier to access our online community, Thousands of your green industry colleagues are chatting, so join the discussion and make a few connections. Even if you don’t have a pressing query, you may be able to help someone who does.

This makes our site more interactive, and we hope you’ll log on soon. When you do, let us know what you think. While it’s a not a plant, we want to make sure our site is a “living” thing, capable of adapting and growing to meet your needs. Let’s cultivate it together.
