ONLA Revamps CENTS Tradeshow
The Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association (ONLA) has announced a new name for its tradeshow held in January in Columbus, Ohio. The Midwest Green Industry Xperiences (MGIX) will take place January 16 to 18. MGIX replaces the former name of CENTS, the Central Environmental Nursery Trade Show with an aim to be more inclusive of the diverse audience.

Nature Safe 15-0-1 Hi-Sol Organic Nitrogen
Nature Safe will introduce 15-0-1 Hi-Sol Organic Nitrogen fertilizer. It is listed with the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) and is ideal to spoon feed organic nitrogen applications for organic growers and nurseries and contains .2 percent iron along with 1 percent soluble potassium that is naturally chelated. The protein concentration of this product exceeds 92 percent or as much as five times more protein per pound than a typical pet food. Available in 40 lb. bags.

Light4Food joins Philips Horticulture LED Solutions Partner Network
Philips Horticulture LED Solutions and Light4Food announced their partner agreement to supply LED lighting systems for greenhouses and vertical farms. By combining their expertise, the partners aim to offer their customers the best possible solutions to meet their goals.

2017 Western Show Fashion Show Runway
Companies are able to enter to showcase their plants at the 7th annual Fashion Show Runway at the 2017 Western Show on January 19 in Kansas City, Missouri. Companies who enter plants will have the opportunity for a company representative to join local Kansas City area models on the runway and to participate in a panel discussion to discuss the Fashion Show plants. The plants will also be highlighted in a webinar in fall 2016.

All-America Selections Introduces AAS Winners
All-America Selections has announced the first five AAS Winners for the 2017 garden season. This first group of AAS Winners for 2017 includes: Celosia Asian Garden, National Winner; Okra Red Kingdom F1, National Winner; Pea Patio Pride, Regional Winner; Squash Honeybaby F1, Regional Winner; Watermelon Mini Love F1, National Winner.

Monrovia Partners With Thumbtack
Monrovia has announced a partnership with Thumbtack, the local services marketplace that connects consumers with local professionals. The new initiative will help Monrovia’s millions of plant fans find landscaping pros to install their new gardens. Monrovia will direct users of its website who need landscaping help to Thumbtack via a pop-up message about their service. Thumbtack will deliver up to five custom quotes from local pros based on a customer’s stated landscaping needs.
