ASLA Launches Improved Online Learning Website
The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) launched a new and improved online learning website that continues to provide information on new and evolving practices and products and offers a way to earn the professional development hours (PDH) needed to meet state licensure requirements. PDH are approved by the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES) and can be earned after viewing a presentation by completing and passing a self-study exam.

Star® Roses and Plants Announces Rebrand of BrazelBerries®
Star® Roses and Plants has announced a rebrand of BrazelBerries® line of small fruit to Bushel and Berry. The rebrand includes a new logo, tags and containers, which will be available at retail in 2017. Star Roses and Plants will also build a new website for the collection that will launch in January 2017.

Oregon Nursery Lean Consortium Opens for 2017 Program Year
The Oregon Nursery Lean Consortium is now open to new participants. Greenhouse and nursery growers and their suppliers are invited to join the 2017 program year. Five companies participate in the Oregon Nursery Lean Consortium: Smith Gardens Aurora, Robinson Nursery, PRT Oregon, Woodburn Nursery & Azaleas, and JLPN Liners.

National Plant Trials Database Announces More Plant Ratings Online
The National Plant Trials Database has announced there are now over 50,000 plant ratings in this online repository of trial data. With trialing data and ratings on a large number of varieties, brokers, growers and garden retailers will find this information valuable when making purchasing decisions. The initial idea for an online repository of trialing data came out of a collaboration between All-America Selections, the University of Georgia and numerous breeding companies.

National SnowCare for Troops Awareness Week is Nov. 13-20
Project EverGreen, in partnership with BOSS Snowplow, established the SnowCare for Troops initiative in 2010 to provide complimentary snow and ice removal services to families of deployed military personnel and post 9/11 veterans with a service-connected disability. From Nove 13-20, Project EverGreen recognizes National SnowCare for Troops Awareness Week to raise the profile of the program and spotlight the efforts of the initiative’s volunteers, military families and wounded and disabled veterans it serves.
