Registration Is Open for 2017 Western
Registration is now open for the 2017 Western held January 19 and 20 in Kansas City, Missouri. The show will feature a fashion show, a new plant panel discussion, roundtable discussions, keynote address, a design workshop, learning centers, a Wednesday evening reception and more. Registration is $50 per person for WNLA members.

Southern Nursery Association Elects New Officers
The Southern Nursery Association (SNA) has elected officers for the 2016-2017 term. They were elected during the 118th annual meeting held at The Classic Center in Athens, Georgia, during SEGreen. The election, open to all active SNA members, determines representation from the four geographic regions of the association. 

The complete slate of 2016-2017 officers and directors is as follows:

Longwood Gardens’ Grows Largest Mum Outside of Asia Longwood Gardens has unveiled the largest chrysanthemum grown outside of Asia: the Thousand Bloom Chrysanthemum. The plant features 1,523 uniform blooms on onw plant. The Thousand Bloom Mum is a highlight of the annual Chrysanthemum Festival at Longwood Gardens, which transforms Longwood’s 4-acre conservatory into a many colorful chrysanthemum blooms.
