Terra Nova Nurseries collaborated with select editors of Martha Stewart Living magazine to plan a March 2015 feature story and photo spread about heucheras and heucherellas.
The project began in June 2014 when Terra Nova Nurseries’ staff joined forces with Martha Stewart’s garden editors and began growing a selection of heuchera and heucherella varieties at the company’s Canby, Ore. operation. The plants were then carefully shipped across country to the magazine’s New York and New England locations for the editorial team to prepare them for a small series of photo shoots.
Terra Nova Nurseries’ Chuck Pavlich, director of new product development, was interviewed by the magazine’s assigned garden writer, which resulted in the published March 2015 print issue feature entitled, “Saved by the Bells”. The content includes Terra Nova Nurseries’ insight surrounding the breeding and traits of these showy, long-lasting varieties, commonly referred to as coral bells.
The magazine, which is now on newsstands from coast to coast, includes styled photos, showcasing several variety clippings and plantings. The feature also mentions Terra Nova Nurseries as one of the leading plant breeders, creating interesting new varieties and generating recent public enthusiasm for coral bells.
