NCNLA Launches New Landscape Business Profitability Intensive
The North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association (NCNLA) introduced a new local one-day intensive designed for landscape business owners and managers. Partnering with the Carolina Green Industry Network (CGIN) and two of the country’s leading experts on landscape business profitability, NCNLA’s inaugural One-Day Profit Planning will launch on November 6 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Early bird registration for NCNLA’s One-Day Profit Planning will close on October 27. Arborjet Grows Operations Team with Bill Keogh as Production Supervisor
Arborjet Inc. announced that Bill Keogh has joined the company as Production Supervisor. In this role, he will be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of the company’s operations and shipping department, advising on best practices and helping to execute lean initiatives.

ASLA 2017 Annual Meeting and EXPO Set for October 20-23 in Los Angeles
The ASLA 2017 Annual Meeting and EXPO will bring together more than 5,500 attendees and more than 375 exhibitors. The 2017 theme, “Common Ground,” reflects how landscape architects design common areas—including streets, parks, markets and gardens—where people meet and interact, creating and celebrating community. The Landscape Show Redux Scheduled For November 2-4
The Landscape Show crossed paths with Hurricane Irma in September and had to stand down, temporarily. FNGLA announced The Landscape Show Redux has been scheduled for November 2 – 4, 2017 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

SNA’s Sidney B. Meadows Fund Awards $18,000 in Scholarships
The Sidney B. Meadows Scholarship Fund, created in 1989 by the Southern Nursery Association (SNA), has announced the names of twelve students from seven southeastern universities chosen to receive academic scholarships this year. Five of the awards are named scholarships honoring past industry leaders. The $1,500 awards, totaling $18,000, has been presented to the following excelling scholars:
