Tree-form hydrangea

Bailey Nurseries, St. Paul, Minn., has released First Editions® Tickled Pink hydrangea in tree form. The petite, paniculata type will reach a height of 4 to 5 feet. Tickled Pink’s cone-shaped blossoms start out a soft white, and then gradually turn a rosy pink. The extraordinary blooms are loaded with petals that curve, giving Tickled Pink a lacy, flirty look. Bred by Dr. Michael Dirr at the University of Georgia, Tickled Pink stays more upright and compact than its parent ‘Pink Diamond’. It’s perfect as a stand-alone plant or as a flower garden backdrop. The unique blooms also add a delightful look to fresh or dried flower arrangements.
