SEGreen Plant Conference Speakers Announced
The Southern Nursery Association (SNA) has announced details of the SEGreen Plant Conference, scheduled for August 31 to September 1, 2016. The conference will be held in conjunction with SEGreen at The Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. Don Shadow, SNA past president, and Dr. Michael Dirr, author and retired professor of horticulture at the University of Georgia, will moderate the sessions.

Arborjet’s 2016 Scholarship Program Accepting Applications
Arborjet is now accepting applications for its 2016 “Taking Root” Scholarship Program. The scholarship program will award 10 graduating high school seniors each with a $1,000 scholarship to pursue full-time studies in Forestry, Plant Sciences, Horticulture, Entomology, Environmental Science or a related major at an accredited two-year or four-year college.

Scholarships Available to Southeast Horticulture Students
The Sidney B. Meadows Scholarship Endowment Fund is also accepting scholarship applications for 2016 awards. The deadline for application is May 27 and the Scholarship Selection Committee will make final selections by July 6.

Florida Flower Trials
The Florida Flower Trials will take place May 12 and 13 across Central Florida. There will be over 100 new color varieties breeders are testing, 10 breeder companies and eight speakers in six classroom sessions.
